American Center Baylee Steele (213-C-1997, agency: Octagon Europe) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Hubei Wenlv, receiving a Hoops Agents NBL Player of the Week award for round 28.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 36 points and 17 rebounds, while his team beat Zhangjiakou (#14, 0-25), the league's bottom-ranked team 107-97. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Hubei maintains the 12th position in Chinese NBL. Hubei is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 9-16 record. In the team's last game Steele had a remarkable 61.9% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Hubei, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former University of Duquesne star has very solid stats this year. Steele is in league's top in points (4th best: 24.3ppg), rebounds (6th best: 11.1rpg) and averages impressive 55.1% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Greek Dimitrios Agravanis (208-F-1994, agency: Diamond Sports) of league's second-best Hefei Kuangfeng. Agravanis had a very good evening with 44 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as Hefei was edged by the lower-ranked Jiangsu (#9, 12-13) 111-108. Hefei managed to keep the same second spot in the standings. It was just his team's 5th loss this season, while they won 20 other games. Agravanis is a newcomer at Hefei, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Niven Glover (196-G-2000) of Jiangxi Ganchi (#6). Glover got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for nine rebounds and eight assists. He was a key player of Jiangxi, leading his team to a 115-106 win against slightly higher-ranked Hunan (#4, 14-11). Jiangxi needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 13 victories and 12 lost games. Glover has a great season in China. After 19 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 30.3ppg (best scorer) and assists with 4.3apg (7th best).
