Chinese NBL round 22 best performance: Vladyslav Koreniuk

Ukrainian Center Vladyslav Koreniuk (210-C-1994, agency: BIG) put on an amazing game in the last round for Hebei Xianglan, receiving a Hoops Agents NBL Player of the Week award for round 22.
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 24 points and 17 rebounds, while his team edged out Jiangsu (#8, 10-10) 122-120. Hebei maintains the 4th position in Chinese NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Hebei will need more victories to improve their 12-8 record. Koreniuk just recently signed at Hebei, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Vladyslav Koreniuk has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 11.4rpg) and averages impressive 68.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Noah Dickerson (207-C-1997) of Anhui Wenyi. Dickerson had a very good evening with a double-double of 30 points and 13 rebounds. Of course Anhui W. cruised to a 108-98 relatively comfortable win over Zhangjiakou (#14, 0-21). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Anhui W. managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 10th place. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 9-12 record. Dickerson is one of the most experienced players at Anhui W. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American center Robert Upshaw (213-C-1994) of Jiangsu Yannan Suke (#8). Upshaw scored 29 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Despite Upshaw's great performance the Jiangsu lost 120-122 to the higher-ranked Hebei (#4, 12-8). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Jiangsu needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 10 victories and 10 lost games. Upshaw has a great season in China. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.0ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 11.4rpg (5th best). He also has 1.6bpg and a FGP of 63.3%.
