Koreniuk's double-double lands him NBL Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

31-year old Ukrainian center Vladyslav Koreniuk (210-C-1994, agency: BIG) had an amazing evening in the last round for Hebei Xianglan and receives a Hoops Agents NBL Player of the Week award for round 21.
He had a double-double of 32 points and 12 rebounds, while his team crushed Shanghai (11-8) with 21-point margin 93-72. Hebei is placed at 4th position in Chinese NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Hebei will need more victories to improve their 11-8 record. Koreniuk just recently signed at Hebei, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Koreniuk has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 11.4rpg) and averages solid 68.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Baylee Steele (213-C-1997, agency: Octagon Europe) of Hubei Wenlv. He is American center in his first season at Hubei. In the last game Steele recorded an impressive double-double of 42 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as Hubei lost that game 106-114 to the higher-ranked Hangzhou (#10, 8-12). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Hubei dropped in the standings to second-to-the-bottom (13th) position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-13 record. Steele is one of the most experienced players at Hubei and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.1ppg (#6). He also registered 10.5 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman E.J. Anosike (199-G/F-1998) of league's leader HK JinNiu. Anosike scored 27 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of HK JinNiu, leading his team to a 112-85 easy win against the lower-ranked Jiangxi (#6, 11-9). HK JinNiu confirms their top position in the standings. Anosike has a very solid season. In 20 games in China he scored 16.4ppg. He also has 6.5rpg and a FGP of 65.6%.
