Shanghai outrebounded Guangdong ST 47-34 including 18 on the offensive glass. Shanghai looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for center Hassan Whiteside (213-1989, college: Marshall) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). Forward Kenneth Lofton Jr (201-2002, college: La Tech) helped adding 22 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Edmond Sumner (198-1995, college: Xavier) with 32 points and 9 rebounds. Guandong Tigers' coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Sharks have a solid series of four victories in a row. Shanghai keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Guangsha L. Guangdong ST at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. Shanghai is looking forward to face Beijing (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Guangdong ST will play against Xinjiang (#14) in Urumqi and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.

A very close game took place in Urumqi between Golden Bulls and Flying Tigers. Eighth ranked Golden Bulls (13-10) got a very close victory on the road over 14th ranked Flying Tigers (9-13). Golden Bulls managed to escape with a 2-point win 61-59 on Tuesday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The best player for the winners was Dakari Johnson who had a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. At the other side the best for losing team was Kevon Harris who recorded 7 points and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Zhejiang GB. maintains eighth place with 13-10 record. Loser Flying Tigers keeps the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. Zhejiang GB. will meet Tianjin P. (#17) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Xinjiang will play against Guangdong ST and hope to secure a win.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 27: Fujian S. lost to Beijing D. on the opponent's court 77-85. Liaoning managed to outperform Jiangsu D. in a home game 95-82. Shenzhen L. recorded a loss to Nanjing on the road 126-123. Ningbo R. defeated Beijing on its own court 79-75. Guangzhou was beaten by Qingdao E. in a road game 88-81.



Beijing D. - Fujian S. 85-77

Very expected game in Beijing where 16th ranked Sturgeons (8-14) were defeated by fifth ranked Ducks (14-9) 85-77 on Tuesday. Beijing D. made 21-of-22 free shots (95.5 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was South Sudanese-Australian center Mangok Mathiang (208-1992, college: Louisville) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds. American point guard Eugene German (183-1997, college: NIU) chipped in 14 points and 8 assists. Four Ducks players scored in double figures.
