Hassan Whiteside claims Chinese CBA Hoops Agents weekly honour

Experienced American Hassan Whiteside (213-C-1989) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's second-best Shanghai Sharks and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 25.
The 36-year old center had a double-double of 24 points and 18 rebounds, while his team beat Shenzhen L. (#5, 14-8) 101-92. Sharks maintains the 2nd position in Chinese CBA. They are still close to the very top. Shanghai would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 18-4 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Whiteside as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Hassan Whiteside averages this season 9.0ppg and 7.7rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international shooting guard Xining He (195-SG-1997) of Shenzhen Leopards. He impressed basketball fans with 43 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Leopards lost that game 92-101 to the higher-ranked Shanghai S. (#2, 18-4). Despite lost game Shenzhen L. moved up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 14-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. He is well-known by Shenzhen L. fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Eric Moreland (208-F/C-1991) of Liaoning Flying Leopards (#13). Moreland showcased his all-around game by recording 14 points, 22 rebounds (!!!) and 9 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Flying Leopards, leading his team to a 105-91 easy win against the lower-ranked Tianjin P. (#17, 8-15). The chances of Liaoning ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 12 games, recording just ten victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Moreland could help Liaoning FL to bring them higher in the standings. Moreland has a great season in China. After 22 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.7rpg (4th best). He also has 1.2bpg and a FGP of 55.7%.

9. Mingzheng Zhu (196-SF-1996) of Nanjing MK - 20 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Dallas Moore (185-PG-1994) of Jilin NE T. - 24 points and 4 assists
