American Guard Trevelin Queen (197-G-1997) had a great game in the last round for Guangdong Southern Tigers, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 24.
The 28-year old player got a double-double of 32 points and 11 assists, while his team beat Jilin NE T. (#16, 8-14) 89-81. Guandong Tigers maintains the 3rd position in Chinese CBA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Guangdong ST will need more victories to improve their 17-5 record. In the team's last game Queen had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be Guandong Tigers's top player in his first season with the team. Trevelin Queen averages this season 19.8ppg, 5.3rpg and 5.4apg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Marquese Chriss (206-PF-1997) of Shandong Heroes. Chriss had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Heroes lost that game 77-86 to the higher-ranked Guangsha L. (#1, 19-3). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Shandong H. still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 15-6 record is not bad at all. Chriss is well-known at Shandong H. and is a proven leader in his second season with the team. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.4ppg (#9). He also registered 7.6 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Harry Giles III (208-F-1998) of Jiangsu Dragons Nanjing (#19). Giles III showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Jiangsu Dragons, leading his team to a 88-68 easy win against the higher-ranked Xinjiang FT (#14, 9-13). Jiangsu D. can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 6-16 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Giles III has individually a great season in China. After 21 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.7rpg (8th best).
