Trevor Thompson agreed terms with Hangzhou

Trevor Thompson

Hangzhou Jingwei (NBL) strengthened their roster with the addition of 31-year-old American 210cm center Trevor Thompson (college: Ohio State, agency: Octagon Europe). He started the season at Qingdao Eagles (CBA). In 11 games, he recorded 3.2ppg, 3.2rpg, and 1.1bpg. NBL will be a better match for him, and he can expect to see more playing time. Last summer, he played for another Chinese team, Hebei Xianglan.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career, he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Asia, and North America) in thirteen different countries. Thompson has played professionally in Belgium (Antwerp Giants and Kangoeroes), Croatia (Zadar), France (Olympique Antibes), Greece (Peristeri), Italy (Scafati), Lithuania (Pieno Zvaigzdes Pasvalys), Poland (Twarde Pierniki), Turkey (Tofas), NBA (Brooklyn Nets), NBA G League (Santa Cruz Warriors), Czech Republic (Svitavy), and The Basketball Tournament (Carmen's Crew and Red Scare).
Among many awards, he was voted to the Eurobasket.com Croatian Premijer Liga All-Imports Team back in 2022.
Thompson graduated from Ohio State in 2017 and is currently in his ninth season in pro basketball. He also played for Virginia Tech University for one year.
