Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game of round 13 in the NBL took place in Hefei. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of much higher ranked Hefei (9-4) to eleventh ranked Shandong (5-8) 79-76 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Hefei. American guard Branden Frazier (191-1992, college: Fordham) fired 21 points and 5 assists for the winners. His fellow American import center Michael Holyfield (211-1992, college: SHSU) chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Brandon McCoy (213-1998, college: UNLV, agency: MSG) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Shandong maintains eleventh place with 5-8 record. Hefei at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. They share it with Jiangxi.
Important game to mention about took place in Hebei. Seventh ranked Hubei (7-6) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked Hebei (7-6) 109-106 in the game for the sixth place. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Eric Paschall (198-1996, college: Villanova) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Baylee Steele contributed with 29 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American forward Jeriah Horne (201-1998, college: Tulsa) answered with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds for Hebei. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Hubei have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with defeated Hebei. Hebei lost third consecutive game.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Hong Kong. Leader HK JinNiu faced 4th placed Hunan. Host HK JinNiu (12-0) defeated guests from Changsha (8-5) 87-69. Mason Jones stepped up and scored 26 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. At the losing side Ramon Galloway responded with 26 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated HK JinNiu have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They maintain first place with 12-0 record. Loser Hunan keeps the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Shanghai.

Other games of round 13 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Hangzhou was defeated by Shanghai in a road game 104-103. Jiangxi beat Guizhou at home 97-92. Winless Zhangjiakou was destroyed by Jiaozuo on the opponent's court 100-71. Anhui W. managed to outperform Jiangsu in a home game 96-80.



Hebei - Hubei 106-109

Important game to mention about took place in Hebei. Seventh ranked Hubei (7-6) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked Hebei (7-6) 109-106 in the game for the sixth place. Hubei had a 41-30 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Hebei was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Eric Paschall (198-1996, college: Villanova) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import center Baylee Steele (213-1997, college: Duquesne, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American forward Jeriah Horne (201-1998, college: Tulsa) answered with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds and point guard Xuan Wang (186-1997) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists in the effort for Hebei. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Hubei have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with defeated Hebei. Hebei lost third consecutive game.

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Hong Kong. Leader HK JinNiu faced 4th placed Hunan. Host HK JinNiu (12-0) defeated guests from Changsha (8-5) 87-69. HK JinNiu dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Hunan's 14 and made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Hunan 47-29 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. American guard Mason Jones (193-1998, college: Arkansas) stepped up and scored 26 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and Czech center Ondrej Balvin (217-1992, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 11 points and 13 rebounds. Four HK JinNiu players scored in double figures. At the losing side American-Iraqi guard Ramon Galloway (190-1991, college: La Salle) responded with 26 points and 7 rebounds and American center Stephen Zimmerman (211-1996, college: UNLV, agency: Slash Sports) scored 6 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. There was no surprise when 13th ranked Hangzhou (4-9) was edged on the road by fifth ranked Shanghai (8-5) 104-103 on Saturday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Shanghai made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Forward A Ze (198-1999) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and American swingman William Douglas (196-1998, college: PVAMU, agency: BIG) chipped in 15 points. At the losing side American-Puerto Rican point guard Jordan Howard (180-1996, college: Cent Arkansas) responded with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and American guard Rob Edwards (196-1997, college: Arizona St.) scored 29 points and 6 rebounds. Four Shanghai and five Hangzhou players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Shanghai moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Hunan. Hangzhou lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with nine games lost. They share it with Guizhou.

Jiangxi - Guizhou 97-92

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Jiangxi (9-4) defeated at home 12th ranked Guizhou (4-9) 97-92 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Jiangxi made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Jiangxi outrebounded Guizhou 43-30 including 19 on the offensive glass. Jiangxi looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Niven Glover (196-2000) stepped up and scored 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and his fellow American import guard Michael Bryson (193-1994, college: UCSB) chipped in 23 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Jiangxi's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American-Puerto Rican Kyle Vinales (188-1992, college: CCSU) responded with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 10 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and American power forward Sterling Manley (213-1998, college: UNC) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. Four Guizhou players scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Jiangxi. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Hefei. Loser Guizhou keeps the twelfth position with nine games lost. They share it with Hangzhou.

Very expected game when bottom-ranked Zhangjiakou (0-13) was rolled over on the road by tenth ranked Jiaozuo (6-7) 100-71 on Saturday. Jiaozuo dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Zhangjiakou's 40. They outrebounded Zhangjiakou 33-21 including a 25-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Jiaozuo especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. American-Thailand guard Tra Holder (185-1995, college: Arizona St.) stepped up and scored 40 points (!!!) and 5 assists for the winners and American forward Dischon Thomas (206-2000, college: Montana, agency: JCK Sports Group) chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds. Four Jiaozuo players scored in double figures. At the losing side DR Congolese center Viny Okouo (214-1997) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Kenneth Miller (186-1995, college: OVU) scored 17 points and 4 steals. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Jiaozuo moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Anhui W. Zhangjiakou lost their thirteenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 13 games lost.

Anhui W. outrebounded Jiangsu 56-30 including a 41-22 advantage in defensive rebounds.
