Queen's 42-point game gives him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

28-year old American guard Trevelin Queen (197-G-1997) had a very impressive game in the last round for Guangdong Southern Tigers and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 20.
He had the game-high 42 points adding seven rebounds and eight assists for Guangdong ST in his team's victory, helping them to crush Jilin NE T. (#13, 7-11) with 21-point margin 119-98. Guandong Tigers maintains the 3rd position in Chinese league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Guangdong ST will need more victories to improve their 14-4 record. In the team's last game Queen had a remarkable 81.3% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 10 attempts. He turned to be Guandong Tigers's top player in his first season with the team. Trevelin Queen averages this season 20.1ppg, 5.3rpg and 5.1apg.

Second best performed player last round was Terquavion Smith (193-G-2002) of Shenzhen Leopards. He is American guard in his first season at Shenzhen L.. In the last game Smith recorded an impressive 43 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. It was enough for Leopards to edge slightly lower-ranked Zhejiang GB. (#9, 9-9) by 2 points 92-90. This victory allowed Shenzhen L. to move up to 7th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 11-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. Smith is a newcomer at Shenzhen L. and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.1ppg (#4). His other stats are also decent: 5.1rpg and 4.5apg.

Third place about best performers goes to forward D.J. Wilson (208-F-1996) of Jilin Northeast Tigers (#13). Wilson got into 30-points club by scoring 35 points in the last round. He went also for ten rebounds and four assists. Despite Wilson's great performance the Jilin Tigers lost 98-119 to the higher-ranked Guangdong ST (#3, 14-4). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Jilin NE T. not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 11 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Wilson could try to bring Jilin NE T.'s a little bit higher in the standings. Wilson has individually a great season in China. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.4rpg (3rd best). He also has 1.6bpg, a FGP of 53.0% and 3PT: 42.9%.
