Zhenglin Pang claims Chinese CBA Hoops Agents weekly honour

Experienced Zhenglin Pang (183-G-1971) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Jiangsu Dragons Nanjing and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 54-year old guard got a double-double of 26 points and 13 assists, while his team beat Shandong H. (#5, 11-5) 106-101. Jiangsu Dragons maintains the 19th position in Chinese CBA. The season is in a full swing, so it's only a dream for the team to make it into top half of the standings. For contrary they may face relegation if the situation turns from bad to worse. Jiangsu D. have already lost 13 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Pang had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Jiangsu Dragons's top player in his first season with the team. Zhenglin Pang averages this season 16.9ppg and 5.6apg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard Jaylen Hands (191-G-1999, agency: Octagon Europe) of Nanjing Monkey Kings. Hands impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 32 points and 12 assists. Of course he led Monkey Kings to another comfortable win outscoring the higher-ranked Shenzhen L. (#8, 9-7) 115-86. Despite this victory Nanjing slide down in the standings to 18th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-11 record. Hands is a newcomer at Nanjing and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Dallas Moore (185-PG-1994) of Jilin Northeast Tigers (#13). Moore scored 22 points and passed 7 assists. He was a key player of Jilin Tigers, leading his team to a 103-79 easy win against Sichuan BW (#20, 0-17). The chances of Jilin NE T. ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 10 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Moore could help Jilin NE T. to bring them higher in the standings. Moore has a very solid season. In 16 games in China he scored 13.4ppg.
