Jiangsu lands Henry Sims, ex Maristes

Henry Sims

Jiangsu Yannan Suke (NBL) signed 35-year-old USA ex-international 208cm center Henry Sims (college: Georgetown). He began the season at Maristes in Lebanese DLBL. In 9 games, he averaged an impressive 24.0ppg, 10.6rpg, 3.3apg, and 2.0spg. Last summer, he played for Metros de Santiago (LNB) in the Dominican Rep. league.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016. Sims was a member of the USA Senior National Team in 2022.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to pro basketball, he experienced life in twelve different countries playing on four different continents. Sims is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American, and North American leagues. He has played professionally in Italy (Reggio Emilia, Fortitudo Flat Service Bologna, Cremona, and Treviso), Jordan (Amman United), Philippines, Saudi Arabia (Ohod), Venezuela (Broncos), NBA (Utah Jazz, Brooklyn Nets, Phoenix Suns, and Indiana Pacers), NBA G League (SLC Stars and Grand Rapids Gold), South Korea (Mobis Phoebus and Daegu), China (Loongs), Big3 (Tri-State), and The Basketball Tournament (Dawgtown).
Among many awards, he was voted to the Eurobasket.com Italian Serie A All-Imports Team back in 2020. It may be one of the last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Jiangsu.
Sims graduated from Georgetown University in 2012 and is currently in his 14th season in pro basketball.
