American Center Robert Upshaw (213-C-1994) had a great game in the last round for Jiangsu Yannan Suke, receiving a Hoops Agents NBL Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 38 points and 14 rebounds, while his team edged out Guizhou (#13, 2-7) 113-110. Jiangsu maintains the 7th position in Chinese NBL. Jiangsu is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-4 record. In the team's last game Upshaw had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He just recently signed at Jiangsu, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former The University of Washington star has very solid stats this year. Upshaw is in league's top in points (2nd best: 29.5ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 14.4rpg) and averages impressive 2.3bpg and 69.5% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Ukrainian Vladyslav Koreniuk (210-C-1994, agency: BIG) of Hebei Xianglan. Koreniuk had a very good evening with a double-double of 27 points and 12 rebounds. Of course he led Hebei to another comfortable win 128-112 over the lower-ranked Anhui W. (#10, 3-6) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Hebei to move up to 4th position in the standings. His team's 6-3 record is not bad at all. Koreniuk is one of the most experienced players at Hebei and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Tra Holder (185-G-1995) of Jiaozuo Cultural Tourism (#8). Holder got into 30-points club by scoring 35 points in the last round. He went also for six assists. He was a key player of Jiaozuo, leading his team to a 84-78 win against slightly higher-ranked Jiangxi (#6, 5-4). The chances of Jiaozuo ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 5 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Holder could help Jiaozuo to bring them higher in the standings. Holder has a great season in China. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 26.6ppg (3rd best) and assists with 6.0apg (best passer).
