Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Hefei as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Hefei smashed 5th ranked Fujian Nanan at home 89-54. Hefei outrebounded Fujian Z. 50-23 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for American guard Jaime Nared (188-1995, college: Tennessee) who led her team to a victory with 21 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import point guard Diamond Johnson (165-1983, college: Norfolk St., agency: LBM Management) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Hefei's coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nigerian center Blessing Ejiofor (196-1998, college: WVU) replied with 22 points and 9 rebounds for Fujian Z.Hefei (9-2) have an impressive six-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Fujian Z. lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with nine games lost. Fujian Z. will play next round against strong Xiamen trying to get back on the winning streak. Hefei will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Fujian Z. in Putian.
Important game to mention about took place in Anshan. Fourth ranked Xiamen (7-5) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging second-best Liaoning Hengye (9-3) 74-71 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Liaoning Hengye. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Shelby Cheslek (196-1992, college: Gonzaga, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists and Peng Shiqing who added 18 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Myisha Hines-Allen (185-1996, college: Louisville) with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 21 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Liaoning Hengye's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Xiamen maintains fourth position with 7-5 record, which they share with Shanghai. Liaoning at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. Xiamen will play against Fujian Z. (#5) in Putian in the next round. Liaoning will have a break next round.
An interesting game for Vermilion Birds (12-0) which hosted in Dongguan second-best Jiangsu (8-4). Top-ranked Vermilion Birds had an easy win 84-66. The winners were led by Wenxia Li who scored that evening 19 points and 8 rebounds. Even a double-double of 13 points and 15 rebounds by Jillian Alleyne did not help to save the game for Jiangsu. Undefeated Vermilion Birds have an impressive 12-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 12-0 record. Loser Jiangsu keeps the second place with four games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Guangdong will meet at home Shanghai (#6) in the next round where they are favorite. Jiangsu will play against Hebei (#9) in Hengshui and hope to secure a win.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 12: winless Ganzhou was smashed by Henan on the road 103-73. Zhejiang was destroyed by Shanghai on its own court 62-97. Shanxi outscored Wuhan in Taiyuan 86-56. Beijing recorded a loss to Xinjiang at home 61-78. Shaanxi was crushed by Sichuan on the opponent's court 99-76. Hebei was beaten by Shandong in a home game 93-106.

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Henan Phoenix (7-4) crushed bottom-ranked Ganzhou (0-11) in Jiyuan 103-73 on Friday. Henan dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Ganzhou's 26. They outrebounded Ganzhou 40-27 including 31 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by American center Imani McGee-Stafford (201-1994, college: Texas) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import point guard Shatori Walker-Kimbrough (175-1996, college: Maryland) supported her with 24 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Shanghai outrebounded Zhejiang 41-17 including a 16-3 advantage in offensive rebounds.
