There were just three rounds played in Regular Season of WCBA and we can clearly see which teams will fight for top positions and which will try to avoid bottom places. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

Round 3 most important game was a victory of Shandong over Jiangsu 78-76 on Sunday night. Strangely Jiangsu outrebounded Sports Lottery 35-21 including 22 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for who led her team to a victory with 27 points. American point guard Lindsay Allen (173-1995, college: Notre Dame) contributed with 16 points and 4 assists for the winners. American center Jillian Alleyne (190-1994, college: Oregon) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for Jiangsu. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Shandong are looking forward to face Guangdong in Dongguan in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jiangsu will play on the road against Wuhan (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game for Hefei (2-0) which played road game in Putian against Fujian Nanan (0-2). Hefei had an easy win 86-45. It was a great evening for American guard Jaime Nared (188-1995, college: Tennessee) who led her team to a victory scoring 22 points and 9 rebounds. Phillipina Kyei helped adding 14 points and 9 rebounds. Hefei's coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Hefei will play against Henan in Jiyuan in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Fujian Nanan will play at home against Xiamen and hopes to get finally their first victory.
An interesting game for Yuanda (3-0) which played road game in Shanghai against Swordfish (1-2). Yuanda managed to get a 4-point victory 81-77. It was an exceptional evening for Zhou Xiyu who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. Ruthy Hebard came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds for Shanghai in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Yuanda will meet at home Zhejiang (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Swordfish will play against Beijing (#8) and hope to win that game.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 3: Henan smashed Ganzhou on the road 100-61. Wuhan won against Hebei on its own court 84-80. Zhejiang lost to undefeated Guangdong in Dongguan 68-87. Beijing rolled over Shaanxi at home 88-69. Winless Ganzhou lost to undefeated Liaoning on the opponent's court 59-111. Shanxi smashed Xinjiang in a home game 80-48.
The most impressive performance of 3rd round was 19 points and 6 assists by Yuting Lin of Shanxi.

Fujian Z. - Hefei 45-86

An interesting game for Hefei (2-0) which played road game in Putian against Fujian Nanan (0-2). Hefei had an easy win 86-45. Hefei held Fujian Z. to an opponent 23.9 percent shooting from the field compared to 50.7 percent accuracy of the winners. Hefei forced 23 Fujian Z. turnovers. It was a great evening for American guard Jaime Nared (188-1995, college: Tennessee) who led her team to a victory scoring 22 points and 9 rebounds. Canadian center Phillipina Kyei (203-2003, college: Oregon) helped adding 14 points and 9 rebounds. Four Hefei players scored in double figures. Hefei's coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ganzhou - Henan 61-100

No shocking result in a game when Henan Phoenix (2-0) crushed on the road Ganzhou (0-3) 100-61 on Saturday. Henan dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Ganzhou's 28 and made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. Henan forced 21 Ganzhou turnovers and outrebounded them 37-20 including 25 on the defensive glass. Henan looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Ganzhou's players. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Shatori Walker-Kimbrough (175-1996, college: Maryland) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Ha Wenxi accounted for 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Five Henan Phoenix players scored in double figures. Henan Phoenix's coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Jaime Nared (188-1995, college: Tennessee) came up with 10 points and Canadian center Phillipina Kyei (203-2003, college: Oregon) added 10 points respectively for Ganzhou in the defeat. Henan Phoenix will meet at home Hefei in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Wuhan - Hebei 84-80

Very expected game when Power (1-2) lost to hengfan (3-0) in Wuhan 80-84 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Wuhan looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Wang Jiaqi who led the winners with a triple-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists. American center Tearra Banks (188-1995, college: Austin Peay) accounted for 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. hengfan's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Canadian center Emily Potter (195-1995, college: Utah) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and added 20 points respectively for Hebei in the defeat. Four Wuhan and five Hebei players scored in double figures. hengfan will meet at home Jiangsu (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Power will play against Xinjiang and hope to win that game.

An interesting game for Yuanda (3-0) which played road game in Shanghai against Swordfish (1-2). Yuanda managed to get a 4-point victory 81-77. Sichuan forced 19 Shanghai turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Zhou Xiyu who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. American-Bulgarian center Khaalia Hillsman (196-1996, college: Texas A&M) accounted for 11 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. American forward Ruthy Hebard (192-1998, college: Oregon) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import point guard Chennedy Carter (175-1998, college: Texas A&M) added 20 points respectively for Shanghai in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Yuanda will meet at home Zhejiang (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Swordfish will play against Beijing (#8) and hope to win that game.

Very predictable result when Vermilion Birds (3-0) rolled over Golden Bulls (1-2) in Dongguan 87-68 on Sunday. Guangdong dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Golden Bulls's 28. Guangdong outrebounded Zhejiang 43-23 including a 31-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guangdong looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Wenxia Li who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Mingling Chen accounted for 19 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Vermilion Birds players scored in double figures. Qi Zhou came up with 22 points and American-Bulgarian center Khaalia Hillsman (196-1996, college: Texas A&M) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Zhejiang in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Vermilion Birds will meet at home Shandong (#4) in the next round. Golden Bulls will play against Sichuan in Chengdu and hope to win that game.

Beijing Great Wall used a home court advantage and outscored the opponent from Weinan 88-69 on Monday night. Beijing dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Red Wolves's 22 and made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Beijing outrebounded Shaanxi 38-17 including a 26-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Beijing looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American players dominated the game. It was an exceptional evening for center Kai James (196-1995, college: FSU) who led the winners and scored 26 points and 5 rebounds. point guard Tiffany Mitchell (175-1994, college: S.Carolina) accounted for 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Four Beijing Great Wall players scored in double figures. Guard Sierra Calhoun (183-1996, college: Rutgers) came up with 21 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Sidney Cooks (193-1998, college: Seton Hall) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Shaanxi in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Beijing Great Wall will meet at home Shanghai (#6) in the next round. Everything went according to plan when Liaoning Hengye (3-0) outplayed Ganzhou (0-3) in Anshan 111-59 on Monday. Liaoning dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Ganzhou's 22. Liaoning forced 19 Ganzhou turnovers and outrebounded them 49-25 including a 35-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Liaoning looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Myisha Hines-Allen (185-1996, college: Louisville) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 16 rebounds and 7 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Fu Jinqiu accounted for 14 points (perfect from the field making all six shots) for the winning side. Five Liaoning Hengye players scored in double figures. Center Kai James (196-1995, college: FSU) came up with 19 points and point guard Tiffany Mitchell (175-1994, college: S.Carolina) added 13 points respectively for Ganzhou in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Liaoning Hengye will again meet at home Ganzhou (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Ganzhou will have a break next round.

Shanxi dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Magic Deer's 30. Shanxi forced 23 Xinjiang turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Yuting Lin who led the winners and scored 19 points and 6 assists. American center Queen Egbo (193-2000, college: Baylor) accounted for 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Flame players scored in double figures. Flame's coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American-Hungarian forward Beatrice Mompremier (193-1996, college: Miami, FL) came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds and added 17 points and 5 assists respectively for Xinjiang in the defeat. Flame will meet Shaanxi (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Magic Deer will play against Hebei (#9) in Hengshui and hope to win that game.
