Chennedy Carter (ex Al Ula) is a newcomer at Shanghai

Shanghai Baoshan Dahua Swordfish (WCBA) strengthened their roster with addition of 27-year old USA ex-international 175cm point guard Chennedy Carter (college: Texas A&M). She already started the season at Al Ula in Saudi Arabian D1 league. The last season summer she played at Adelitas de Chihuahua in Mexican LNBPF where in 21 games she recorded very impressive stats: 15.8ppg, 3.3rpg, 3.7apg and 1.4spg. She helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. A very spectacular year in her career as she was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Mexican LNBPF Honorable Mention.
In 2020 Atlanta Dream selected her as fourth overall pick in WNBA draft.
The former Texas A&M University standout is in her sixth season in pro basketball.
Carter was also a member of the USA international program for some years. She played for USA Senior National Team back in 2019 and previously for the Under 19 National Team in 2017.
Carter is a very experienced player. Thanks to Carter's pro career she managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in seven different countries. She has played professionally in Israel (Maccabi Raanana), Mexico, Poland (Poznan), Saudi Arabia, Turkey (Kocaeli), WNBA (LA Sparks and Chicago Sky) and China (Dragons and hengfan).
