Guangdong Southern Tigers (CBA) signed 22-year-old Chinese international guard Cui Yongxi for the upcoming season. He last played for the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA, averaging only 0.6ppg in 5 games. During the summer of 2024, he played for the Trail Blazers in the NBA Summer League.
He also represented China at the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers this year. His team won Bronze and he averaged 2 ppg.
Yongxi has played in the NBA Global in Australia, the Loong Lions in China, and also in Australia.
Among many awards, he was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese CBA Rookie of the Year in 2023.
