The Regular Season in CBA is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 4 rounds. The round 44 was rather boring as all games ended with very predictable results. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
Leader Guangsha Lions delivered the 36th win on Thursday night. This time they beat 15th ranked Pioneers (11-31) 109-103 in Tianjin. 32 personal fouls committed by Tianjin helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American Barry Brown Jr (190-1996, college: Kansas St.) who scored 28 points and 6 assists. The former international center Jinqiu Hu (211-1997) chipped in 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). American guard Marcus LoVett Jr (183-1996, college: St.John's, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 34 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guangsha Lions (36-6) have an impressive five-game winning streak. Guangsha L. maintains first position. Tianjin lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth place with 31 games lost. They share the position with Guangzhou. Guangsha L. are looking forward to face league's second-placed Shanxi L. in Taiyuan in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tianjin will play on the road against Zhejiang GB. (#9) in Hangzhou and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
