Yuanda dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Dragons' 16. They outrebounded Dragons 41-20 including a 33-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Yuanda looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Australian center Elizabeth Cambage (205-1991) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The former international forward Meng Li (185-1995) chipped in 13 points. American power forward Kennedy Brown (190-2000, college: Duke) produced 12 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Zhou Yueming (170-1999) added 17 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Five Jiangsu and four Beijing Great Wall players scored in double figures. Beijing Great Wall's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
