Archie Goodwin's triple-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

American Guard Archie Goodwin (196-G-1994) had a great game in the last round for Jiangsu Nangang Dragons Nanjing, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 24.
The 30-year old player recorded a triple-double of 53 points adding also 14 rebounds and 10 assists, while his team crushed Fujian S. (#20, 1-22) with 21-point margin 113-92. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Jiangsu Dragons maintains the 19th position in Chinese CBA. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 21 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Goodwin had a remarkable 73.1% from 2-point range. He turned to be Jiangsu Dragons's top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Kentucky star has very solid stats this year. Goodwin is in league's top in points (9th best: 19.2ppg) and assists (5th best: 5.3apg).

The second best player in last round's games was young Guinean Hamidou Diallo (198-SG-1998) of league's second-best Shanxi Loongs. Diallo had a very good evening with a double-double of 46 points and 12 rebounds. It was enough for Loongs to edge slightly higher-ranked Guangsha L. (#1, 20-4) 107-105. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Shanxi L. consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. His team's 19-5 record is not bad at all. Diallo is a newcomer at Shanxi L., but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Scottie James Jr. (202-F-1996, agency: Pensack Sports) of Tianjin Ronggang Pioneers (#16). James Jr. got into 30-points club by scoring 36 points in the last round. He went also for fifteen rebounds . Despite James Jr.'s great performance the Pioneers lost 107-110 to slightly lower-ranked Shenzhen L. (#18, 6-18). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Tianjin can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 7-17 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. James Jr. has individually a great season in China. After 23 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.0ppg (8th best) and rebounds with 14.6rpg (#1 in league).
