Hamidou Diallo's triple-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Guinean-American Shooting guard Hamidou Diallo (198-SG-1998) had an amazing evening in the last round for Shanxi Loongs, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 21.
The 26-year old player recorded a triple-double of 36 points adding also 12 rebounds and 11 assists, while his team beat Sichuan BW (#17, 6-15) 125-116. Loongs maintains the 3rd position in Chinese CBA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Shanxi L. will need more victories to improve their 17-5 record. In the team's last game Diallo had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Loongs's top player in his first season with the team. Hamidou Diallo averages this season 21.1ppg and 7.3rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Tahjere McCall (193-G-1994, agency: Slash Sports) of Guangzhou Loong Lions. McCall had a very good evening with a double-double of 46 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Loong Lions was edged by the higher-ranked Nanjing MK (#11, 11-10) 112-109. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Guangzhou dropped in the standings to 15th position. 15 lost games are too many comparing to just six victories Loong Lions managed to get this year. McCall is a newcomer at Guangzhou, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Quinndary Weatherspoon (190-G-1996) of Qingdao Eagles (#8). Weatherspoon got into 30-points club by scoring 35 points in the last round. He went also for fifteen rebounds and twelve assists. He was a key player of Eagles, leading his team to a 103-100 win against the lower-ranked Tianjin (#14, 7-14). Qingdao E. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 13 victories and 8 lost games. Weatherspoon has a great season in China. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 27.2ppg (4th best).
