Tahjere McCall was the best scorer of the day in the world yesterday with the 46 points he had in the Guangzhou Loong Lions

46 points scored by 31 year old American guard McCall Tahjere (193-G-1994, college: Tennessee St., agency: Slash Sports) made him the highest scoring player of the day in the world. His team the Loong Lions lost to the Nanjing Monkey Kings 109 to 112. He also added 13 rebounds and 5 assists that evening.
He is quite experienced player. McCall has played in seven different countries on three different continents. He has played previously professionally in Australia (Taipans), France (Entente Orleans 45 and Provence Basket), Israel, New Zealand (Nuggets), NBA Summer League (Atlanta Hawks, Orlando Magic and Washington Wizards), and NBA G League (College Park SkyHawks, Long Island Nets and Osceola Magic).
Among many awards his team was the regular season runner-up in the Australian NBL in 2023. He was selected to the USBasket.com NBA G League All-Defensive Team back in 2021. McCall was also selected as the Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL Honorable Mention in 2023.
