Sturgeons sign Rashawn Thomas, ex Sendai 89ers

Fujian Sturgeons (CBA) signed 30-year old USA ex-international forward Rashawn Thomas (203cm-113kg-1994, college: TAMUCC). He has played for the last two seasons at Sendai 89ers in Japanese B1 League. In 31 games he had 14.4ppg, 6.5rpg, 2.2apg and 1.2spg last season. He was a member of USA Senior National Team back in 2018.
Thomas is quite experienced player. He has played in six different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Thomas has played previously professionally in Italy (Sassari), Serbia (Partizan), NBA (OKC Thunder), South Korea (Mobis Phoebus) and NBA G League (OKC Blue).
Among many awards his team made it to the Radivoj Korac (Serbian Cup) Semifinals in 2021. He was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Japanese B League Honorable Mention in 2023.
Thomas graduated from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi in 2017 and it will be his eighth season as a professional player.
