American Grant Riller (189-SG-1997) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Beijing Royal Fighters and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 27-year old shooting guard had a double-double of 38 points and 11 rebounds, while his team crushed Nanjing MK (#12, 6-6) with 17-point margin 117-100. Royal Fighters is placed at 8th position in Chinese CBA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Beijing will need more victories to improve their 7-4 record. In the team's last game Riller had a remarkable 78.9% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Royal Fighters and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Grant Riller averages this season 17.7ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international point guard Jie Xu (181-PG-2000) of Guangdong Southern Tigers. Xu impressed basketball fans with 32 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Bad luck as Guandong Tigers lost that game 94-104 to the lower-ranked Sichuan BW (#16, 4-8). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Guangdong ST keeps 10th position. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 6-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. Xu is one of the most experienced players at Guangdong ST and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was international center Hansen Yang (216-C-2005) of Qingdao Eagles (#6). Yang got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for fifteen rebounds . He was a key player of Eagles, leading his team to a 121-114 win against the lower-ranked Fujian S. (#18, 1-10). Qingdao E. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 4 lost games. Yang has a great season in China. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.6rpg (5th best). He also has 2.6bpg and a FGP of 61.6%.
