Beijing Great Wall (WCBA) signed 26-year old American point guard Aari McDonald (168cm-1998, college: Arizona) for upcoming 2024-25 season. She played last season at LA Sparks (WNBA). In 26 games just recently she had 8.7ppg, 2.0rpg and 3.7apg.
Three years ago she was drafted by Atlanta Dream (WNBA) as #3 pick overall.
The former University of Arizona star is in her fourth season in pro basketball.
She has played on three different continents (Europe, Australia and of course North America). McDonald has played previously professionally in Australia (Perth Lynx), Hungary (UNI Gyor) and Turkey (Nesibe). She played in the final of Australian WNBL in 2024.
Among many awards she was voted All-Pac-12 Co-Defensive Player of the Year, Pac-12 All-Tournament Team and Nancy Lieberman Point Guard of the Year Award Finalist back in 2021 at her college time. McDonald played also for The University of Washington for one year.
