Shanghai Sharks (CBA) strengthened their roster with addition of 22-year old American forward Kenneth Lofton Jr. (201cm-125kg-2002, college: La Tech). He was about to sign at Chicago Bulls in the NBA. The last season summer he played at another NBA team the Jazz in NBA where in four games he recorded 6.5ppg, 4.3rpg, 2.0apg and 1.3spg.
Lofton represented USA at the World Cup U19 in Latvia three years ago. His team won Gold and he had over 13 points per game.
He has played previously professionally in NBA (Philadelphia 76ers and Memphis Grizzlies) and NBA G League (SLC Stars, Delaware Blue Coats and Memphis Hustle).
Among many awards he won NBA Southwest Division championship title in 2023. Lofton was also voted USBasket.com All-NBA G League Rookie of the Year in 2023.
He attended Louisiana Tech University until 2022 and it is his third season as a professional player.
