Eagles sign Quinndary Weatherspoon, ex Avtodor

Quinndary Weatherspoon

Qingdao Eagles (CBA) signed 28-year old American guard Quinndary Weatherspoon (190cm-93kg-1996, college: MSU). He was about to sign at Avtodor in Russian VTB United League.
Part of last summer he spent at the Suns in NBA where in three games he had 9.7ppg, 3.0rpg, 1.0apg and 2.3spg. He also played for Gigantes (BSN) in Puerto Rican league.
In 2019 he was drafted by San Antonio Spurs (NBA) in second round (49th overall). The former Mississippi State University standout is in his sixth season in pro basketball.
Weatherspoon is quite experienced player. He has played in six different countries on three different continents (Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Weatherspoon has played previously professionally in Puerto Rico, Russia, NBA (GS Warriors and LA Lakers), NBA G League (Santa Cruz Warriors, Austin Spurs and South Bay Lakers), China (Pioneers and Guangsha Lions) and NBA Summer League (Brooklyn Nets, Orlando Magic, GS Warriors).
Among many awards he won NBA championship title in 2022. He was voted to SEC All-Freshman Team back in 2016.
