Sichuan adds Bishop to their roster

Sichuan Yuanda Meile Basketball Club (WCBA) added to their roster experienced 35-year old Australian ex-international center Abby Bishop (189cm-1988). She joins another Australian player Elizabeth Cambage who is already in the roster.
She played last season at Jairis in Spanish LF Endesa.
She was also a member of the Australian international program for some years. She played for Australian Senior National Team between 2008 and 2019 and previously for the Under 21 National Team back in 2007.
Bishop also represented Australia at the FIBA Asia Cup in India five years ago. Her team won Bronze and she had 5 points per game.
She is quite experienced player. Her career allowed her to visit three different continents, while she played in seven different countries. Bishop tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Australia and of course North America. She has played previously in Australia (Adelaide Lightning, Townsville Fire, Southside Flyers, Canberra Capitals and Australian Institute of Sport), France (Tarbes), Hungary (Miskolc and Szekszard), Italy (Bologna), Russia (Dynamo Novosibirsk Region) and WNBA (Seattle Storm).
Among many awards she played in the final of Australian WNBL in 2023. Bishop was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Italian Serie A1 Honorable Mention back in 2021.
It's very possible she may end her playing career at Sichuan.
On Bishop: An undersized center, she has a as a forward body but is a good banger and hustler inside.
