NBL Round 14 (Regular Season): Anhui W. keep a leadership position

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Anhui W. as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Anhui W. smashed 4th ranked Hebei at home 100-80. Anhui W. (15-2) have an impressive six-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Hebei at the other side keeps the fourth place with eight games lost. Hebei will play next round against strong Changsha trying to get back on the winning streak. Anhui W. will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Hefei at home.
Another exciting game for Hefei (6-10) which played on the court of Henan (5-11). Seventh ranked Hefei won 91-86. Hefei have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 6-10 record. Henan at the other side keeps the eighth place with 11 games lost. Hefei will play against league's leader Anhui W. on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Henan will play against Wuhan (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Despite that victory Jiangsu YS went down to ninth position due to points difference. Jiangxi lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Guangxi. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 14: Guangxi was smashed by Changsha on the road 98-74. Bottom-ranked Wuhan lost to HK JinNiu on its own court 88-94. Anhui W. managed to outperform Jiangsu YS in a road game 98-92. Jiangxi managed to beat Guangxi at home 103-95.



Changsha - Guangxi 98-74

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Changsha (11-5) crushed at home 5th ranked Guangxi (7-10) 98-74 on Monday. Changsha have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 11-5 record having five points less than leader Anhui W. Loser Guangxi keeps the fifth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Jiangxi. Changsha will meet Hebei (#4) on the road in the next round. Guangxi will play against the league's second-placed HK JinNiu and hope to secure a win.

Jiangsu YS - Jiangxi 109-86

Jiangsu YS - Anhui W. 92-98

Very predictable result when second ranked Anhui W. (15-2) won against 8th ranked Jiangsu YS (5-12) in Yannan 98-92 on Wednesday. Anhui W. have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Loser Jiangsu YS dropped to the ninth place with 12 games lost. Anhui W. will meet at home Hefei (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Jiangsu YS will have a break next round.

Jiangxi - Guangxi 103-95

There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Guangxi (7-10) lost on the road to seventh ranked Jiangxi (7-10) 103-95 on Wednesday. Jiangxi moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Guangxi. Jiangxi will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Guangxi will play against the league's second-placed HK JinNiu (#2) and hope to secure a win.
