Baylee Steele (ex Gifu) is a newcomer at Jiangxi

Baylee Steele

NBL newcomer Jiangxi Ganchi added 26-year-old American 213cm center Baylee Steele to their roster. Steele, who played at Duquesne, was most recently with Gifu Swoops in the Japanese B3 League. He was the league's fifth-best scorer with 20.5ppg and had 11.6rpg (#3 in the league) and 1.5apg last season. Steele was voted League Player of the Week and selected to Asia-Basket.com All-Japanese B League D3 Second Team.
Thanks to his pro career, he managed to play on three different continents - Europe, Asia, and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Hungary (Alba), Japan (Big Bulls, 89ers, and Excellence), and Poland (Spojnia).
He won the Japanese B League D3 championship title in 2023 among many awards. Steele received the Warren County Player of the Year award back in 2015 during high school.
He graduated from the University of Duquesne in 2020, and it will be his fifth season in pro basketball. Steele played for other colleges such as Utah Valley University, Eastern Michigan University, and Des Moines Area Community College.
