Eugene German

Yukatel Merkezefendi Belediyesi Basket Denizli (BSL) signed 26-year old American point guard Eugene German (183cm-84kg-1997, college: NIU). It is actually his comeback to Merkezefendi as he has played here before. German started the season at Fujian Sturgeons in Chinese CBA league. In 47 games he had very impressive stats: 22.4ppg, 4.9rpg, 5.1apg and 1.2spg.
He is quite experienced player. German has played in five different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Greece (Ionikos), The Basketball Tournament (Sideline Cancer), NBA Summer League (Denver Nuggets and Phoenix Suns) and TBL (Kokomo Bobkats).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team won TBL Midwest Division Regular Season in 2021. German was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese CBA Honorable Mention in 2023.
He graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2020 and it is his fourth season as a professional player.
