Eric Moreland claims Chinese CBA Hoops Agents weekly honour

Experienced American Eric Moreland (208-F/C-1991) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader Liaoning Flying Leopards and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 52.
The 32-year old power forward had a double-double of 30 points and 25 rebounds, while his team beat Guangsha L. (#5, 33-19) 101-96. It allowed Flying Leopards to consolidate first place in the Chinese CBA. Liaoning have a solid 43-9 record. In the team's last game Moreland had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Oregon State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Moreland is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 10.8rpg) and averages solid 1.5bpg and 60.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American center Jared Sullinger (206-C-1992) of Shenzhen Leopards. Sullinger impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 38 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Leopards lost that game 102-107 to the lower-ranked Beijing D. (#11, 27-25). Shenzhen L. managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 31-21 record is not bad and everything may still change. Sullinger is one of the most experienced players at Shenzhen L. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.8ppg (#9). His other stats are also decent: 11.4rpg and 4.0apg.

The third best performed player last round was American Troy Gillenwater (205-F-1988) of Shandong Heroes (#15). Gillenwater got into 30-points club by scoring 40 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds . He was a key player of Heroes, leading his team to a 128-104 easy win against the lower-ranked Ningbo R. (#19, 6-46). The chances of Shandong H. ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 31 games, recording just twenty one victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Gillenwater could help Shandong H. to bring them higher in the standings. Gillenwater has a great season in China. After 45 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.1ppg (6th best).
