International Center Hanlin Tao (208-C-1991) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Shandong Heroes, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 48.
The 32-year old player had a double-double of 21 points and 23 rebounds, while his team outclassed Beijing RF (#9, 27-22) with 26-point margin 111-85. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Heroes maintains the 15th position in Chinese CBA. Shandong H. is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 19-29 record. Tao has many years of experience at Heroes, through which he has constantly improved. Hanlin Tao averages this season 11.6ppg and 8.2rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Eric Bledsoe (185-PG-1989) of Shanghai Sharks. Bledsoe had a very good evening with a double-double of 21 points and 11 assists. Of course he led Sharks to another comfortable win 111-97 over slightly lower-ranked Shenzhen L. (#8, 28-20) being unquestionably team leader. Shanghai's 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 31-18 record is not bad and everything may still change. Bledsoe is well-known at Shanghai and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Shandong H.'s star - Canadian Marial Shayok (196-SF-1995). Shayok got into 30-points club by scoring 41 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds . He was another key player of Shandong Heroes, helping his team with a 111-85 easy win against the higher-ranked Beijing RF (#9, 27-22). The chances of Heroes not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 29 games, recording just nineteen victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Shayok could try to bring Shandong H.' a little bit higher in the standings. Shayok has a very solid season. In 43 games in China he scored 18.7ppg. He also has 4.6rpg, 3.6apg, a FGP of 53.1% and 3PT: 41.1%.
