Mayo is back at Flying Leopards, ex Zamalek

Mayo, who played for USC in college, has returned to Liaoning Flying Leopards in the CBA. He previously played for the team and started this season with Zamalek in the Egyptian Superleague.

In 2008, he was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves (NBA) as the #3 pick overall. He graduated from the University of Southern California, and it is his 16th season in pro basketball.
He is a very experienced player, having played in five different countries on four different continents - Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America. He has played professionally in Puerto Rico (Atleticos), Russia (UNICS Kazan), Taiwan (Dacin Tigers and Fubon Braves), NBA (Dallas Mavericks, Milwaukee Bucks, and Memphis Grizzlies), and China (Hunan).
His college team reached the Egyptian Cup final in 2023. He made it to the Taiwanese All-Star Game in 2019. He is nearing retirement age as a player and may finish his career at Flying Leopards.
