Archie Goodwin (ex Beirut Club) agreed terms with Rockets

Ningbo Rockets (CBA) have added 29-year-old American guard Archie Goodwin to their roster. Goodwin, who stands at 196cm tall and played college basketball at Kentucky, previously played for Beirut Club in the Lebanese LBL league, where he averaged 7.0ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.0apg, and 1.0bpg in two games. During the summer, he played for Drive in the U.S. semi-pro league The Basketball Tournament and had a pre-season stint with Fajardo in the Puerto Rican league (BSN).
In 2013, he was drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder (NBA) in the first round (29th overall). He attended the University of Kentucky and it is his eleventh season in pro basketball.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to Goodwin's pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in eleven different countries. He has played previously professionally in France (Metropolitans), Germany (ratiopharm Ulm), Israel (Maccabi Effie Capital Rishon Le-Zion), Puerto Rico, Turkey (Bakirkoy), Ukraine (Budivelnyk), NBA (Portland Trail Blazers, Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns), China (Golden Bulls), NBA G League (NAZ Suns, Maine Celtics and Greensboro Swarm) and The Basketball Tournament (Armored Athlete and Team Challenge ALS). His team made it to the Dubai International Tournament Semifinals in 2024.
He was voted to the Turkish League All-Star Game in 2020.
