Guangsha Lions add Walton Jr. to their roster, ex Sydney

Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (CBA) added to their roster 28-year old American ex-international guard Derrick Walton Jr. (185cm-86kg-1995, college: Michigan) for season 2023-24. Walton played last season at Sydney Kings in Australian NBL league. In 34 games he recorded very impressive stats: 15.9ppg, 3.8rpg and 6.1apg (top 2). He helped them to win the league title. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL Finals MVP and selected to All-Imports Team and League Player of the Week.
Walton was a member of USA international program for some years. He was called to USA Senior National Team in 2020 and previously for U18 National Team back in 2012.
Walton is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in France (ASVEL Lyon Villeurbanne Basket), Germany (ALBA Berlin), Lithuania (Zalgiris), NBA (Detroit Pistons, Miami Waltonat, LA Clippers and Philadelphia 76ers), NBA G League (Ontario Clippers) and NBA Summer League (LA Clippers and Miami Heat).
He graduated from University of Michigan in 2017 and it will be his seventh season as a professional player.
