Xinjiang Flying Tigers (CBA) agreed terms with 47-year old Italian coach Massimo Maffezzoli for new 2023-24 season. Maffezzoli coached last season at Allianz Pallacanestro Trieste in Italian league.
He was coaching Italian Senior National Team between 2017 and 2021 and coached also U18 National Team back in 2006.
Maffezzoli has coached also for other Italian teams like RO Virtus, Sassari, Brindisi, Avellino and RO Eurobasket. His team won Italian Cup in 2014 and 2015.
