Chinese CBA round 12 best performance: Nate Mason

American Guard Nate Mason (188-G-95) put on an amazing game in the last round for Guangzhou LL, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
The 26-year old player was the main contributor (36 points, three rebounds and eight assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Nanjing TX MK (#18, 1-10) 115-101. Guangzhou LL is placed at 7th position in Chinese CBA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Guangzhou LL will need more victories to improve their 7-3 record. In the team's last game Mason had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Guangzhou LL's top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Minnesota star has very solid stats this year. Mason is in league's top in assists (7th best: 8.4apg).

The second best player in last round's games was 29-year old former international center MuHao Li (219-C-92) of Beijing D.. Li had a very good evening with a double-double of 27 points and 12 rebounds. Of course Beijing D. cruised to a 89-81 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Zhejiang GB. (#3, 9-2). This victory allowed Beijing D. to move up to 9th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 7-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Li is well-known at Beijing D. and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Guangzhou LL's star - Taiwanese guard Ying-Chun Chen (182-PG-93). Chen got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds and six assists. He was another key player of Guangzhou LL, helping his team with a 115-101 easy win against the lower-ranked Nanjing TX MK (#18, 1-10). Guangzhou LL needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 3 lost games. Chen has a great season in China. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.5ppg (7th best) and assists with 10.2apg (2nd best).
