NBL Round 48: Shaanxi keeps a leadership position

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Shaanxi as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Shaanxi defeated 9th ranked Xinjiang in Xian 97-80. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Xinjiang. Shaanxi have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Anhui W. Xinjiang at the other side keeps the ninth place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Hainan H.. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
The game in Henan was also worth to mention about. Seventh ranked Chongqing (12-12) played at the court of 8th ranked Henan (10-14). Chongqing did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 102-84. Chongqing maintains seventh position with 12-12 record. Henan lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 14 games lost. Chongqing will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Henan will play on the road against Beijing (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

In the last two games of round 48 Hainan H. beat Hebei on the road 92-87. Jiangsu YS lost to Hunan on its own court 85-100.



Henan - Chongqing 84-102

Very expected game when 13th ranked Jiangsu YS (2-22) lost to fourth ranked Hunan (20-4) in Yannan 85-100. Hunan have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 20-4 record. Jiangsu YS lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth place with 22 games lost.
