Ray McCallum (ex Breogan) agreed terms with Sharks

Shanghai Sharks (CBA) strengthened their roster with addition of 28-year old American point guard Ray McCallum (190-86kg-91, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Wasserman). He played most recently at Breogan in Spanish LEB Gold. McCallum managed to play in four leagues in three countries last year (!!!). In 8 Liga Endesa games he recorded very impressive stats: 15.5ppg, 3.6rpg, 4.5apg and 1.1spg. He also played for the Clippers in NBA where in 12 games he averaged 12.3ppg, 2.6rpg, 3.3apg and 1.1spg. The other team McCallum played shortly was Darussafaka (BSL) in Turkish league. In 7 games he had 10.3ppg, 2.7rpg and 4.0apg. He also played 16 games in Euroleague where he got 9.4ppg, 3.7rpg and 4.1apg.
In 2013 McCallum was drafted by Sacramento Kings (NBA) in second round (36th overall). The former University of Detroit Mercy standout is in his seventh season in pro basketball.
Among other achievements McCallum's team was regular season runner-up in Horizon League in 2013. He received also All-Horizon League Player of the Year award and NABC Division I All-District 12 1st Team award between 2012 and 2013 at his college time.
McCallum represented USA at the World University Games in Shenzhen (China) eight years ago. His stats at that event were 7 games: 4.9ppg, 1.1rpg.
McCallum has played also professionally in NBA (Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs and Memphis Grizzlies) and NBA G League (Austin Spurs, Stockton Kings and Grand Rapids Drive).
