The game had a very big importance for second-rankedFive Arrows as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Five Arrows defeated 17th ranked Veertien Mie in Takamatsu 93-86 . Kagawa made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was point guard Katsumi Takahashi (180-2000) who scored 22 points. American power forward Brekkott Chapman (206-1996, college: Weber St.) chipped in 18 points. At the other side the best for losing team was New Zealand center Callum McRae (216-1999, college: Sacramento St.) who recorded 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and guard Yasuyuki Miyazaki (170-1986) added 20 points respectively. Five Kagawa and four Veertien Mie players scored in double figures. Veertien Mie's coach Masao Kuda rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Five Arrows (10-2) have an impressive six-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Veertien Mie lost ninth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with nine games lost.
