No shocking result in a game when second rankedTochigi Brex (6-2) beat 7th ranked Fighting Eagles (2-6) in Nagoya 82-73 on Saturday. Tochigi Brex forced 19 FE Nagoya turnovers. Strangely FE Nagoya outrebounded Tochigi Brex 45-24 including a 12-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by American center Grant Jerrett (208-1993, college: Arizona) who scored that evening 18 points and Tongan-New Zealand Isaac Fotu (203-1993, college: Hawaii) supported him with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Even 14 points and 8 assists by the former international guard Narito Namizato (172-1989) did not help to save the game for FE Nagoya . American center Isaac Butts (208-1989, college: App State) added 15 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tochigi Brex have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 6-2 record behind leader Shimane SM, which they share with Sea Horses M. and San-en NP. Loser Fighting Eagles dropped to the fifth place with six games lost.
