Rather expected game when 7th rankedDragonflies (2-6) lost to fourth ranked Golden Kings (5-3) in Okinawa 82-100 on Saturday. Ryukyu dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Dragonflies 's 30. Ryukyu outrebounded Hiroshima D. 45-22 including a 23-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by American power forward Jack Cooley (206-1991, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds and the former international guard Ryuichi Kishimoto (176-1990) supported him with 16 points and 5 assists. Even 19 points and 8 rebounds by American forward Kerry Blackshear Jr (208-1997, college: Florida) did not help to save the game for Hiroshima D. . His fellow American import forward Dwayne Evans (201-1992, college: St.Louis, agency: Pensack Sports) added 19 points for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ryukyu moved-up to second place, which they share with Osaka E. and Nagasaki. Loser Dragonflies dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with 4 other teams.
