Very expected game when 8th rankedBorneo (11-15) lost to third ranked Prawira (21-5) in Pontianak 92-99 on Saturday. Prawira dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Borneo 's 52. Prawira looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American Antonio Hester (199-1990, college: Mobile, AL) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Chilean-Spanish center Manny Suarez (208-1993, college: Creighton) accounted for 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Hester is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Four Prawira players scored in double figures. American guard Michael Qualls (197-1994, college: Arkansas) came up with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 20 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import forward Steve Taylor Jr (206-1993, college: Toledo) added 29 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Borneo in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fifteenth consecutive win for Prawira . Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Pelita Jaya. Loser Borneo keeps the eighth position with 15 games lost.
