We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when tenth rankedBorneo (8-14) rolled over 9th ranked Hangtuah (8-15) in Jakarta 103-75 on Sunday. Borneo dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Hangtuah 's 28. Borneo looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Michael Qualls (197-1994, college: Arkansas) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Point guard Sevly Rondonuwu (173-1996) accounted for 18 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Borneo players scored in double figures. Belgian forward Thomas De Thaey (203-1991, college: NC State) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds and American-Nigerian guard Michael Kolawole (195-1997, college: Lamar) added 12 points respectively for Hangtuah in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Borneo moved-up to ninth place. Loser Hangtuah dropped to the tenth position with 15 games lost.
