Kuwait had a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Kazma was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Haitian center Cady Lalanne (208-1992, college: UMass) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 21 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Joseph Young (188-1992, college: Oregon) chipped in 36 points (!!!) and 5 assists during the contest. Kuwait's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American power forward Clinton Chapman (208-1989, college: Texas, agency: Diamond Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Travis Leslie (193-1990, college: Georgia) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Kazma players scored in double figures.
