Regular Season Round 53: Nagoya DD - FE Nagoya 98-87

Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Nagoya: Dolphins (#2) and Fighting Eagles (#5). Dolphins (35-19) won against visiting Fighting Eagles (27-23) 98-87. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Fighting Eagles. Nagoya DD looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American power forward Scott Eatherton (208-1991, college: Northeastern) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. American-Filipino guard Ray Parks (193-1993, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 26 points. American forward Aaron Henry (198-1999, college: Michigan St., agency: Diamond Sports) produced 20 points and 7 assists and the former international Luke Evans (203-1991, college: CBU) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Dolphins have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Nagoya DD maintains second place with 35-19 record having five points less than leader Tochigi Brex. Newly promoted FE Nagoya keeps the fifth position with 23 games lost. Nagoya DD's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Nagoya FE Nagoya.
