Very important is a road loss of third rankedJets (31-20) against fifth ranked Happinets (25-26) on Wednesday night. Visiting Jets were defeated by Happinets in a tough game in Akita 76-81 . Akita NH outrebounded Chiba Jets 49-28 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Akita NH looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by American center Steve Zack (211-1992, college: La Salle) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 17 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and point guard Takuya Nakayama (182-1994) supported him with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Happinets players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 23 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists by Australian forward Xavier Cooks (203-1995, college: Winthrop) did not help to save the game for Chiba Jets . The former international point guard Yuki Togashi (170-1993) added 17 points and 4 assists for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Akita NH maintains fifth position with 25-26 record. Chiba Jets lost third consecutive game. They keep the third place with 20 games lost.
