Not a big story in a game in Nagoya where 5th rankedBallooners (26-23) were defeated by second ranked Dolphins (32-19) 88-75 on Saturday. Nagoya DD outrebounded Saga B. 50-32 including a 37-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Nagoya DD looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Takumi Saito (172-1995) who scored 19 points and 8 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Brazilian-American center Tim Soares (211-1997, college: Master's) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-1990) produced 23 points and 5 rebounds and American Yoeli Childs (203-1998, college: BYU) added 16 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Nagoya DD and four Saga B. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dolphins have a solid four-game winning streak. Nagoya DD maintains second position with 32-19 record having five points less than leader Tochigi Brex. Newly promoted Saga B. dropped to the fourth place with 23 games lost. They share the position with Kawasaki.
