Very expected game in Yokohama where 6th rankedB-Corsairs (21-27) were defeated by second ranked Alvark Tokyo (39-9) 79-66 on Sunday. Alvark Tokyo outrebounded Yokohama BC 35-20 including 23 on the defensive glass. Brazilian Leonardo Meindl (201-1993) stepped up and scored 17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners and Spanish Sebastian Saiz (205-1994, college: Ole Miss) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. Four Alvark Tokyo players scored in double figures. At the losing side American Devin Oliver (203-1992, college: Dayton) responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds and international guard Yuki Kawamura (172-2001) scored 10 points and 6 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Alvark Tokyo have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 39-9 record having just one point less than leader Tochigi Brex. Yokohama BC lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 27 games lost.
