Regular Season Round 51: Yamaguchi - Kagawa FA 64-74

Date: March 30, 2024
Everything went according to plan in Yamaguchi where third ranked Five Arrows (37-10) won against 15th ranked Pats Five (15-34) 74-64 on Saturday. Kagawa outrebounded Yamaguchi 41-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. The game was dominated by American players. It was a great evening for forward Andrew Randall (198-1990, college: Temple) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Power forward Evan Ravenel (204-1989, college: Ohio St.) helped adding 15 points and 12 rebounds. The best for the losing side was forward Deandre Abram (203-1997, college: Milwaukee) with 23 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Jelan-Miguel Kendrick (201-1991, college: UNLV) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Pats Five's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Five Arrows have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Kagawa maintains third place with 37-10 record having four points less than leader Fukui B. Yamaguchi lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 34 games lost. Kagawa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Yamaguchi will play against Kagawa (#3) and hope to secure a win.
